This work is a miniature structure based on drone footage of a building destroyed in the bombing of Gaza. Constructed from paper and everyday materials, it references survivor testimonies that describe buildings collapsing “like sheets of paper.” Sized to reach the viewer’s knee, the piece invites an aerial perspective reminiscent of surveillance images. Metaphorical connections emerge through combinations of ordinary objects, evoking not only collective tragedies but also quieter forms of violence embedded in daily life.
