I modified a water tank to create a minimal environment for algae-eating fish, who need a constant supply of air bubbles to survive. Each burst of air, though, caused some water to drain, slowly making the habitat less stable. This work is part of a series where I build artificial habitats for small organisms using everyday materials, observing how they live in the conditions I set up.

녹조를 먹고 사는 작은 물고기들은 생존을 위해 공기 방울이 끊임없이 공급되어야 한다. 이를 위해 수조를 조작해 공기 방울이 뿜어져 나오도록 했지만, 그때마다 소량의 물이 함께 빠져나가며 서식지는 서서히 불안정해졌다. 〈Customized Fish Tank(맞춤형 수조)〉는 일상적인 재료로 최소한의 서식 환경을 구성하고, 그 안에서 생명이 어떻게 버티고 살아가는지를 관찰한 연작의 일부다.
